Into the valley of the scenic Northern Range we drive along the winding Lopinot Road to the tranquil Lopinot Valley and village. This historical estate once belonged to the Compte de Lopinot who was a French Planter who reaped the benefits from “Cedula de Population” of 1783. Remnants of the old great house and heritage park can be viewed on your visit. There is now a museum on site and cocoa plantations scattered along the way. It is said that on a windy and dark evening the shadows of the Compte de Lopinot can be seen roaming the landscape, at least this is the legend with the locals of the village.
